What 𘴂 means

It is glossed “god” or “deity.” The dictionary also gives “supernatural being,” not one named figure.

The Western Xia court introduced a separate script for the now-extinct Tangut language in 1036. Chinese writing inspired its square style; neighboring Khitan states had already created their own scripts. Used for government and Buddhist texts, Tangut writing persisted after Western Xia fell in 1227; inscriptions show use through 1502.
