What ✁ means
✁ means scissors and can mark a cut point.
In typography, a scissors dingbat is a small ready-made symbol used beside text. It can direct the reader to where paper should be cut or decorate a page. Printers used “dingbat” for an ornament by 1912. Later computer-publishing sets included Zapf Dingbats (1975–1978) and Wingdings (1990–1992).
Use ✁ as a cut-here mark
On a flyer, label, or form, ✁ can serve as a cut here symbol beside the spot where paper should be cut. Elsewhere it still depicts scissors; surrounding words must clarify what is being cut.
