What 󠅳 means
A 2000 Unicode note described variation selectors as invisible marks whose effect depends on the preceding character. In 2001, Unicode said these extra selectors could carry catalogued East Asian glyph variants in plain text without assigning a new character to each shape. An ideographic variation sequence (IVS) pairs an East Asian character with a selector; the Ideographic Variation Database (IVD) records such pairs in collections for different needs. A selector's number alone does not name a shape.

Questions people ask
1Why does 󠅳 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
