adlam digit two

Adlam Digit Two

𞥒 is the Adlam numeral for two. Brothers Ibrahima and Abdoulaye Barry devised Adlam in Guinea in 1989 because Arabic letters did not cover some sounds in the Fula language; its digits belong to a script whose name means “the alphabet that protects a people from vanishing.” Used alongside Latin and Arabic, Adlam borrows Arabic’s right-to-left direction and letter joining; its digits follow that direction too.
