What ٢ means
It means two. As number notation, it gives a value; its regional shape does not add a mood.
The decimal numeral system has roots in Brahmi numerals, attested around the middle of the third century BC. In Arabic mathematics, al-Khwarizmi's work around 825 records the Indian place-value method, where a digit's position helps show its value.
Arabic-Indic ٢, the Persian form ۲, and European 2 keep the same value in distinct regional shapes. Inside right-to-left Arabic text, a multi-digit number still keeps its places ordered left to right.
Routine number notation; the regional digit shape adds no emotional tone.
٢ and ۲ carry the same value but are different characters.
