What 𖦟 means
“Laam” identifies the letter; it does not translate a full text.
Bamum king Njoya and palace collaborators began the writing project in 1896. They completed its first version, called Lerewa, around 1897.
Bamum writing changed across phases
The script moved from picture- and word-like signs toward the A-ka-u-ku syllabary, where signs represent syllables. The Arabic and Vai scripts may have influenced it. Phase E came before modern Phase G.

1Why does 𖦟 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
