What 𖥻 means
It is a written character in the historical Bamum script.
“Lom” labels this character; it is not a translated word. Its role is read from the surrounding Bamum text.
A manuscript in the script’s first version is dated to 1897. Its earliest signs were memory aids for objects and actions; later, Bamum writing recorded the language and history and supported administration and teaching. Phase E developed around 1908. An overhaul in 1910 produced a more compact stage called a-ka-u-ku. These are revisions within one Bamum writing tradition.
