What 𖦇 means
Its reference transcription is “mgba.”
That transcription gives the Bamum value, not an English definition. Bamum is spoken mainly in western Cameroon. Phase G is the modern script; this letter belongs to the historical forms studied in older texts.
King Ibrahim Njoya and palace scribes developed it to preserve Bamum knowledge. Work began around 1896; a surviving Phase-A manuscript is dated 1897. Early signs served as memory aids; revisions led to A-ka-u-ku, a syllabary whose signs represent syllables, by 1910. Bamum writing served royal history, administration, law, calendars, and schooling.
Historical and scholarly; suited to older Bamum texts or script history.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖦇 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Bamum Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
