An octant is a 24 tile with cells 2, 3, 5, and 7 filled. Kaypro computers used tiles like this to draw pictures on text screens.

What 𜵉 means

It is one tile for text-mode graphics. The digits show its four filled cells. Kaypro 10 was a home computer running CP/M; its 1983 manual shows how text cells acted as eight graphics pixels, joining into larger pictures.

A 2021 Unicode mapping assigns this pattern to Kaypro reverse-graphics byte D6. That old byte must be converted through its character map for modern Unicode text.
