What 㣣 means
It preserves a character code from Taiwan’s CNS 11643 standard.
Taiwan’s CNS 11643 catalogue lists it as a household-registration character under CNS 15-2F3E (checked 2026-10-05). Unicode keeps a separate code for round-trip conversion, so conversion back to CNS can restore the original code position.
A 2018 individual standards proposal says the Taiwan form is read xiá (“narrow”), while 㣣 is read shàn (“walk unsteadily”). Unicode 18.0 still maps them together, as checked 2026-10-05.
