What 慺 means
It is the Han character 慺.
Taiwan’s Mandarin dictionary reads 慺 as lóu for “pleased” or “respectful, careful”; lǚ is a surname reading. Yupian, a character dictionary compiled in the 6th century, records the respectful sense; the Guangyun, a rhyme dictionary compiled in the 11th century, also gives “pleased.”
Why does 慺 map to 慺?
To preserve the Taiwan code entry through conversion.
Taiwan expanded CNS 11643 from two character planes to seven in 1992; this variant occupies plane 6, slot 5D24. Unicode keeps it for round-trip conversion. Normalization maps it to 慺; the registered sequence 慺︀ adds an invisible variation selector to request this glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 慺 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
