What 𢆟 means
It named a woven container or basket.
The early Chinese character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi records 𢆟 around 100 CE. Later dictionaries describe it as a bamboo container, a rush-woven object, or a basket.
Why does 𢆟 have a separate code?
To keep a legacy character code reversible.
𢆟 maps to 𢆟 but preserves a code from Taiwan’s CNS 11643-1992 sixth plane, a numbered section of its character set. Text can then convert to Unicode and back without losing its source code. Keep it for legacy data, not as another everyday word.
