What 糨 means
A variant of 糨, meaning paste or thick.
Mandarin 糨 is pronounced jiàng. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education lists 糨 as a variant of 糨, with form evidence from a printed edition in the Ming era of 四聲篇海, a rhyming dictionary. A late Ming novel, 西洋記, uses 糨糊 for paste. Unicode maps 糨 to CNS 11643-1992 plane 4 code T4-5C59 so conversions to Taiwan’s character encoding and back can retain the source character.
Use 糨 in ordinary Chinese text; reserve 糨 for CNS 11643 data.
Normalization can turn 糨 into 糨; the standardized variation sequence requests the source glyph.

Questions people ask
1Why does 糨 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
