What 䧦 means
It is a legacy code form of 䧦, not a separate word.
Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese dictionary completed around 100 CE, glosses 䧦 as a hillside in Zheng, an ancient Chinese state, and cites a meeting there.
A Spring and Autumn chronicle writes 鄬 for the place-name; Taiwan's variant-character dictionary groups 䧦 and 䧦 under it. Unicode retains 䧦 for CNS 11643-1992 code T6-5022, allowing round-trip conversion.
Why does 䧦 normalize to 䧦?
All four Unicode normalization forms change it to 䧦.
Unicode normalization makes equivalent text consistent; NFC, NFD, NFKC and NFKD all rewrite 䧦 as 䧦.
To retain CNS code T6-5022 through conversion, keep 䧦 unnormalized; ordinary Chinese text uses 䧦.
Questions people ask
1Why does 䧦 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
