What 頩 means
All four Unicode normalization forms map 頩 to 頩. NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD are four standard ways to put equivalent text in a consistent form. U2FA00 supports round-trip conversion with older character sets. The chart lists Taiwan source T4-5976 and North Korean source KP1-8703; this block’s CNS 11643-1992 mappings come from planes 3–7 and 15.
A gloss on the classical Chinese poem The Goddess Rhapsody reads 頩 as an anger-colored face; a note on Far Roaming, part of the Songs of Chu poetry collection, describes a lustrous, beautiful appearance. Unicode’s standardized variation sequence 頩︀ (頩 followed by UFE00, a variation selector) preserves this glyph distinction through normalization.

Questions people ask
1Why does 頩 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Compatibility Ideographs Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
