What 𢡊 means
It preserves a legacy code position for 𢡊.
Unicode includes 𢡊 for round-trip conversion with KPS 10721-2000, a North Korean character-set standard. Legacy data can move into Unicode and back while keeping its original position. This compatibility form serves that exchange, not ordinary new writing.
The Chinese dictionary Yupian, compiled in 543, records 𢡊 as a variant of 愆; the later Kangxi dictionary repeats that link. 愆 means fault or transgression.
Why does FACF change to 𢡊?
Unicode normalization maps it to 𢡊.
Unicode defines a canonical decomposition from FACF to the unified Han character 𢡊. Normalization can therefore replace this compatibility form with 𢡊. The lexical sense remains; the encoded distinction is lost.
Use 𢡊 only when preserving the KPS source position matters. For ordinary, interoperable Han text, use 𢡊.
Technical and archival: it marks a source-data distinction, not a conversational tone.
For ordinary Han text, use 𢡊; 𢡊 preserves a legacy code position.

1Why does FACF show as a box?
The active font or its fallback lacks a glyph for FACF. The box signals a display failure; it does not change the character's identity. A font containing this compatibility form can display it.
