What 𪏔 means
A face marked by urgency or strain.
The Kangxi Dictionary quotes the Yùpiān, a Chinese character dictionary compiled around 543 CE. The gloss gives the sound as 抎 (yǔn in Mandarin pinyin) and uses the doubled form 𪏔𪏔 for a face showing urgency.
Is 𪏚 the same as 𪏔?
Yes; an old dictionary treats them as the same character.
In Seokjujip (石洲集), a Korean poetry collection, a Joseon-era linked verse (a poem written by several poets in turns) uses 𪏚 in a line about the neck and face turning yellow. The wording echoes Zhuangzi, a Chinese philosophical text, where “withered neck, yellow face” describes extreme hunger and emaciation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪏔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
