The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary, explains 囂 as “sound” and notes 𠽸 as a shortened form. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education character dictionary also lists 𠽸 as a variant of 囂. The exact link from 𪡼 to 𠽸 is tentative, so that older definition is a clue, not a sure meaning for 𪡼.
