What 𪮨 means
In Vietnamese Nôm, it writes thăm for a lot drawn by chance.
Vietnamese dictionaries record it for the noun in bốc thăm (“draw lots”), not for the verb thăm (“visit”); those dictionaries use other character spellings for the verb.
In Sawndip, the 1989 《古壮字字典》 lists this glyph under 探. Sawndip, a traditional character-based writing system for Zhuang, a language spoken in China's Guangxi region, adapted Chinese forms to write Zhuang speech. Tang-dynasty stone inscriptions are among its earliest surviving evidence; a Southern Song account describes it as widespread.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪮨 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
