What 𫞼 means
A verb for putting something upright or holding a stiff stance.
In Taiwanese Hokkien, also called Taigi, its pronunciation is written in Latin letters as tshāi; 𫞼柱仔 means “set up a pillar.”
In Japanese-period Taigi songbooklets, writers could use 豎 (“upright”) for the same spoken word, reading it as tshāi rather than by the character’s usual reading. The Taiwanese Ministry of Education’s dictionary lists 𫞼 as its headword and 在 as an alternate written form.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫞼 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
