What 𫳽 means
Install Taiwan's CNS11643 character package first.
The CNS11643 entry checked in 2026 says Windows has no default glyph for it; the package provides the font needed to display it.
What does 𫳽 mean?
It is a rare written variant of 寶, meaning “treasure.”
Taiwan's CNS record gives this exact form the Mandarin reading bǎo. Early forms of 寶 in oracle-bone writing—inscriptions on animal bones and turtle shells—combine a house with jade and shell money. Later bronze inscriptions on vessels add 缶, a pot-shaped sound component.
Why does 𫳽 appear in Taiwan's records?
Taiwan's CNS11643 lists it as a household-registration character.
The source note dates that listing to 2007. Taiwan reserved extra code space so the national household database could exchange uncommon name forms and preserve their exact written shapes.
A rare personal-name form in Taiwan's official household records.
For a registered name, don't substitute 寶 without checking the recorded spelling.

1Why does 𫳽 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
