What 𭺌 means
A printed Buddhist collection. The team behind the University of Tokyo’s SAT Daizōkyō Text Database proposed 𭺌 for machine-readable text. The Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō was critically edited in 1924–1934; Unicode encoded it in 2017, a digital date, not its origin.
What does 𭺌 mean?
Its source gives a form, not a translation. The SAT record gives 玻 on the left and 頁 on the right. These parts do not form a phrase; read the surrounding Buddhist passage for the whole character’s sense.
Why does 𭺌 show as a box?
Its font may not contain it. On the SAT character list, its web font may fail in unsupported browsers. A box may mean another font lacks 𭺌.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𭺌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
