What 𮔊 means
It is a variant of 蜽 used in a traditional spirit name.
The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary presented to the Han court in 121 CE, describes 蛧蜽 as mountain-and-river spirits. It parses 蜽 with 虫 as a creature-related component and 兩 as the sound clue.
Other spellings include 罔兩 and 魍魎. Classical commentators disagree on whether the spirits belong to mountains or water; in the Zhuangzi, a classical Chinese text, 罔兩 also names the faint outline at a shadow’s edge.
