CJK Ideograph 2E642

𮙂 means “yielding” in one literary passage: letting another person receive something that is yours instead of taking from someone else to give away. It also appears among characters needed to digitize the Taishō Buddhist canon, a printed collection of Buddhist scriptures from 1924–1934.

What 𮙂 means

In this Song dynasty passage, it marks a willing handover. Liu Chang’s Chunqiu Quan Heng (春秋权衡), a work discussing the Spring and Autumn Annals, debates whether Duke Yin of Lu should hand rule to Duke Huan. Another transcription gives 让 (“yielding”) in that line, anchoring this reading to the passage.
