What 𮞸 means
Yes: 𮞸 is a rare written form of 遭.
An early Chinese dictionary, Shuowen Jiezi, defines 遭 in the Han period as “to encounter.” Its graph joins 辵, a movement element, to 曹, which supplies the sound; this suggests meeting on the way. Later meanings include suffering harm, one's lot, the surrounding area, or a circuit or occasion. A modern transcription of the 1795 Korean-annotated Chinese conversation textbook 重刊老乞大諺解 writes 𮞸(遭) in a line about legal trouble. A 2018 book on Cantonese sung-and-spoken performance records it too.
