What 𮠋 means
To preserve its exact source form in digital text. SAT links it to the Taishō Buddhist canon, the Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō (1924), a Japanese printed edition of Buddhist scriptures. Early in the project's digitization, researchers sometimes built characters missing from word processors out of components or marked them with black boxes and notes. This character entered Unicode in 2017 so digital text could preserve its distinct written form.
Why does 𮠋 show as a box?
Your browser or app may lack a font glyph for it. The text can still contain 𮠋 when the screen shows a box or blank space. SAT's list for Unicode 10.0 says its glyphs rely on web fonts and may not appear in browsers without that support.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
