What 𮣏 means
It is an extended Japanese shinjitai form of 鑠. In 鑠, 金 means metal and 樂 supplies sound. The early Chinese dictionary 說文解字 defines it as melting metal; hot metal’s glow also gives 鑠 the sense “shine.” The Book of Odes, an early Chinese poetry collection, uses 鑠 to praise a king’s army as radiant.
The classical Chinese history text Guoyu uses 眾口鑠金 (“many mouths melt gold”) to warn that many voices can distort truth; this idiom uses 鑠, not 𮣏.
Why is 𮣏 in a Japanese character record?
Its Japanese record is MJ060302. Japan’s character-information collection was built to standardize kanji used in personal names across government systems, making records easier to exchange.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮣏 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
