What 𮤴 means

Surviving Old Zhuang forms appear in a stone inscription dated 682 CE.

Old Zhuang characters adapted Chinese shapes and sounds to write Zhuang words. In 1175, the Chinese writer Fan Chengda described local writing used for legal petitions and contracts. These records document the tradition, not the first appearance of 𮤴 itself.

1

Why does 𮤴 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
