What 𮨛 means
So the text could be searched as written.
The Taishō Tripiṭaka was published in 1934 as a Japanese critical edition of Buddhist scriptures, based on a canon transmitted across India, China, Korea, and Japan through hand copying and woodblock printing. SAT began digitizing it in 1994. Characters without standard computer codes were stored as images: people could read them, but search tools could not. The project proposed graphs such as 𮨛 for standard encoding so researchers could search and compare the scripture.
