What 𮲮 means

It named a boat part in older dictionaries. The Kangxi Dictionary, a large Qing-era Chinese reference work, quotes the Yupian dictionary glossing 欆 as a boat oar; it cites the Jiyun dictionary for 栙欆, a sail not yet raised.

Questions people ask

Why does 𮲮 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
