What 𰴓 means
It records Zhuang words in the old square script called Sawndip.
Zhuang is a language spoken mainly in southern China. Sawndip adapted Chinese character shapes and components to represent Zhuang speech, so a familiar-looking part can reflect the script’s history without making the whole character a Mandarin word.
The exact form is listed in the 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary. The wider Sawndip tradition was in use by the Tang–Song period for religious writing, songs, family records, contracts and inscriptions. A Latin-based Zhuang writing standard was introduced in 1955.
