What 𱺧 means
𱺧 is linked to 練 (simplified 练), the Chinese character for training. An early Chinese character dictionary, the Shuowen Jiezi, explains 練 as silk boiled until it became soft and white; 練 also named the resulting cloth. Later uses include training and practiced skill. In 練, 糸 is the silk-thread component and 柬 was a sound clue; it need not resemble the modern pronunciation.

1Why does 𱺧 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 15.0 (2022), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
