What 㷷 means
A thick soup with little broth, sometimes a rich fish stew.
The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary compiled around 100 CE, records 㷷 as a variant form of 臇, using 火 (fire) where 臇 has 肉 (meat).
In the poem 名都篇, the Chinese poet Cao Zhi lists 臇 among banquet dishes beside carp and shrimp.
Old, specialist Chinese food vocabulary; outside a historical quotation, it can feel obscure.
By itself, it gives no clue to why the sender chose it.
