What 䣻 means
It names wine colour and, in a later gloss, a red-brown face.
The early Chinese character dictionary 玉篇, compiled around c. 543, glosses 䣻 as 酒色 (“wine colour”). A later dictionary, 集韻, gives 面赭色 (“a red-brown face”), shifting the gloss from wine to complexion. Unicode’s Unihan data, a collection of information about Han characters, connects 䣻 to 酣 as a non-classical form; 酣 also means drinking freely, being merry, or fully absorbed. The character 𩈣, written with the face radical, explicitly lists 䣻 as an alternative form.
Lexicographic and literary; in an ordinary message, 䣻 reads as a deliberate rare-character choice.
As a standalone message, 䣻 may go unrecognized; give context if the reader needs its meaning.
