What 峔 means
It is a place-name form, not a standalone word for “mountain.”
Chinese dictionaries call 峔 a vernacular variant of 姥 in 慈峔山, also written 慈姥山. The Longkan Shoujing, a Chinese dictionary completed in 997, gives the earliest dictionary record; the Guangyun, organized by rhyme, records the form in 1007–1008. The historical name 鼓吹山 is linked to bamboo suited to making xiao, Chinese end-blown flutes.

Do not use 峔 alone for “mountain.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 峔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
