What 釟 means
釟 refers to working metal. The old Chinese character dictionary 玉篇 gives this sense; later sound dictionaries, 廣韻 and 集韻, also list it. As of 2026-10-08, the earlier Chinese dictionary 說文 did not record it.
Japanese dictionaries give it readings as a kanji, a Chinese character used in Japanese. In historical Vietnamese chữ Nôm, a script that used Chinese characters, it wrote a word meaning “bowl.”
Font samples show slight stroke variations for 釟 across typefaces (as of 2026-10-08).
