What 鑟 means
A box for storing seals.
A seal marks or authenticates a document; 鑟 names its case, not the stamp or imprint. Chinese glosses include 印匣 and 印匱, both “seal box.”
The Chinese dictionary 類篇 (Leipian), completed in 1066 during the Song dynasty, glosses 鑟 as 印匱. Japanese also reads it いんばこ, roughly “een-bah-koh.”
