What ክ means
It is the sixth k form; its reading follows the language.
Early Ethiopian and Eritrean inscriptions in a related Old South Arabian style, called Pseudo-Sabaean, date to the 8th/7th centuries BCE. Geʽez abjad writing, which marked mainly consonants, appears in the 1st–3rd centuries CE. By the 4th century CE, Geʽez writing was an abugida, pairing consonants and vowels in each sign; Christian scripture translation is often cited as a catalyst.
In Amharic transliteration, kɨ represents k followed by a brief, relaxed vowel; Geʽez scholarship writes kə, while some Amharic systems use k or ki.
