What 넣 means
넣 is a Hangul syllable in 넣다, not a full word. The Korean verb 넣다 can mean putting something inside, adding or including it, submitting a document, or turning on equipment. The object tells you which sense fits.
넣어 주세요 is a polite request to put something in or add it; 지원서를 넣다 means to submit an application. The syllable supplies part of the verb, not all of its meaning.
How was 넣 formed?
Hangul was designed to write Korean speech in syllable blocks. King Sejong devised Hangul in 1443; an explanatory book introducing it appeared in 1446. Before Hangul, Korean writing relied on Chinese characters, which did not fit Korean speech well. Hangul's component letters, called jamo, are arranged into blocks; 넣 groups ㄴ, ㅓ, and ㅎ.
The same modern syllable can be represented as one precomposed block or as its component jamo. If an input method shows those letters separately, it has not composed the block; the spelling sequence is still the same.
How do I type 넣?
With the Korean 2-beolsik layout, type s, then j, then g. Switch to Korean input first; the input method combines those keys as ㄴ, ㅓ, and ㅎ into 넣.
If it displays the three jamo separately, the input method has not composed the block yet. The letters are still the same sequence.
The verb is neutral; the sentence ending sets the level of politeness.
Alone, 넣 can look like a verb cut off before its ending.

1Why does 넣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
