What 랸 means
ㄹ, ㅑ and ㄴ form one Hangul syllable block.
ㄹ is the initial consonant, ㅑ the vowel, and ㄴ the final consonant. Hangul groups these letters into a block for each written syllable, rather than setting them in a straight row.
When did Hangul begin?
Hangul was created in 1443 and officially introduced in 1446.
The Yongbieocheonga, from 1447, is among the earliest known works written in Hangul. Later, the script was used for religious, practical, educational and literary writing.
