What 샆 means
It is a regional spelling of 삽, the Korean word for “shovel.” The National Institute of Korean Language records 샆 alongside 삽 as a dialect form in its Gapyeong entry.
Hangul was made to make Korean easier to read and write. It was created in 1443 and promulgated in 1446; consonants and vowels combine into syllable blocks. 샆 combines ㅅ, ㅏ and ㅍ.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
