What ⼛ means
It marks 厶 in a radical-based dictionary index.
The Kangxi index groups Chinese characters by recurring parts, then sorts them by remaining strokes.
Records show 厶 in late Warring States bronze script (250 BC) and seal script in Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary (100 AD). Its shape has competing explanations: a nose for the self or a small circle for personal space; neither is settled.
