What 𘰒 means
Treat it as Khitan writing, not a chat reaction. The small script used signs for whole words and signs for sounds; several sound signs could form one word. Since the script is only partly deciphered, its shape alone is not an English translation.
How did Khitan writing develop?
It was used under both Liao and Jin rule.
The Liao historical record dates the small script's creation to around 925. A 2026 study argues it was systematized later; the earliest securely dated surviving inscription is from 1051.
It served official records, diplomacy, monuments, poems and translations. Jurchen writing later adapted Khitan models. Khitan text can run in vertical columns or horizontal groups, and those layouts need extra rendering support.
