What 𑋶 means
The Khudawadi digit six means six. In a numeral, it marks six; nearby text shows what is being counted.
Khudawadi (also called Khudabadi) is a script for Sindhi. Based on Landa, a family of merchant scripts, it is related to Sharada, an older South Asian script. Merchants used it for accounts and letters. One account places its emergence around Khudabad in the seventeenth century. An 1843 account writes its name “Khuda Wadi.” In the 1860s, a standardized form was chosen for education and administration; by the late nineteenth century, an Arabic-based script was official for Sindhi.
