Lower Centre Left One Sixteenth Block

𜺝 fills the lower centre-left patch of a Robotron Z9001 text cell. The computer used block glyphs to sketch pictures on-screen. Unicode preserves the tile for conversion.

What 𜺝 means

It filled one of sixteen patches inside a character cell. The East German Z9001, introduced in 1984, used character blocks for pictures because its basic screen could not control individual pixels. Its manual shows the graphics mode. In 2021, a Unicode proposal mapped this tile from Robotron code DD for text conversion and emulators.
