What 𑊚 means
It is a consonant letter read within Multani words.
Multani is a historical script used for Seraiki, a regional language, and other languages spoken in the area. Vowels are commonly left unmarked, while consonant clusters are written with separate letters. So 𑊚 by itself does not make a complete word.
Multani developed from Landa, an earlier writing tradition, in the 18th century around Multan and northern Sindh, where it served everyday and commercial writing. The earliest securely dated printed witness is an 1819 New Testament; literary printing expanded from there. In the second half of the 19th century, British administration promoted the Perso-Arabic script in the region, and Multani declined, though it continued into the 20th century. Its documented script relatives include Gurmukhi, with more distant links to Khudawadi and Khojki.
Why can 𑊚 look different in fonts?
Printed and handwritten forms give the same letter different outlines.
Unicode's reference shapes draw on an early printed source and include forms found only in handwriting. Fonts can therefore give 𑊚 different outlines without changing the character. This character is beyond the Basic Multilingual Plane, the first Unicode block, so some older input paths may need a full Unicode escape. A blank box means the font lacks Multani coverage.
