What ㈹ means
It labels the number that connects callers through the office.
Japanese contact listings place it after the 代表番号 (representative number), the office’s main line. The same contact may be called 代表電話 (representative phone).
This convention predates Unicode: a prewar Tokyo telephone-directory guide includes 1934 service statistics and explains how to list the representative number and show it on business cards. A Sapporo municipal guide dated 2026-04-01 still prints ㈹ after its main contact numbers.
A formal Japanese business label for an office’s representative phone number.
Can I use ㈹ as a chat reaction? Usually no; it reads as a formal Japanese business contact label.
