What 🥳 means
Sincere, unless it sits on bad news. Under your good news it is plain congratulations; say thanks and enjoy it. The face carries no irony of its own, so the tone comes from what it is attached to: “finished the laundry 🥳” is a mock ceremony for a small win, while a lone 🥳 under a complaint reads as sarcastic congrats.
The face was proposed to Unicode in 2017 as a “party” and “fun” face, backed by user requests and keyboard data, and was added in 2018. Today it marks any good moment, not only actual parties.
Bright, casual, usually literal; one of the safer faces to send.
Under bad news, it can sound like mockery.
