𜰍 is the right third inductor segment in a text circuit diagram: the coil mark’s right end. It belongs to a set of legacy-computing symbols used to draw with text.

Text symbol

What 𜰍 means

To fit the coil and its connecting wires into a fixed-width grid. An inductor is a coil-shaped electrical component. This character supplies its rightmost piece. Box-drawing characters are line segments for text grids; they make the straight connections.

The Unicode proposal from 2021 groups this schematic set with graphics used on home computers from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s. It says encoding these marks supports faithful text conversion and emulators that redraw old text graphics.

Questions people ask

1

Why does 𜰍 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
