What 🟍 means
In Word for Windows, type 1F7CD and press AltX.
This Unicode hex input is different from older Wingdings and Webdings font slots, where the selected typeface supplies the picture. In HTML or source markup, use 🟍.
The documented typeface trail begins with picture-font designs for Lucida Icons, Arrows, and Stars from 1990–1991; they were reorganized as Wingdings in 1992. A 2012 Unicode proposal records this geometric collection as originating from Webdings/Wingdings. These fonts supplied scalable pictures for computer interfaces, bullets, stars, and page decoration. Unicode gave this design a text identity beyond those font slots, provided the active font supports it.
What does this symbol mean?
The safest standalone reading is decoration. The words around it can give it a more specific role, but the character itself has no standard chat reaction.
A 2019 museum account of Pennsylvania Dutch (German-American) barn-star art describes a six-pointed design with a central pinwheel and says some readings connect its points to the six biblical days of creation. That meaning belongs to the regional art tradition; the shared outline alone does not give 🟍 the same meaning.
Typographic and ornamental; the sender's words supply any more specific tone.

3Questions people ask
2Is this symbol an emoji?
No. It is a text symbol without a standard emoji presentation; whether it appears depends on whether the current font contains its glyph.
Why does this symbol show as a box?
The current font or app may lack the glyph. As of 2026, Unicode fallback may show a missing-glyph box or a code-point marker; use a font that supports it.
